I'm Pat Churchill, a New Zealander now living in Melbourne, Australia with my husband Don.

I have an extensive background in daily newspaper journalism and corporate relations work. My food writing began 30 years ago with a column for bachelor cooks, Man About the House, which later evolved into a cookbook. I've also written an Ebook, The Novice Cook, available free on this site.

I am a member of the Australian Association of Food Professionals and I write food columns for newspapers in New Zealand. My former website, Kiwi Kitchen, won the NZ Guild of Food Writers Electronic Media Award-IT for 2001. These articles are archived in the Kiwi Kitchen section while Cooking Down Under embraces my culinary adventures since arriving in Australia.
