Herb and Garlic Bread

1 loaf of french bread
150g margarine or softened butter
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 cup chopped fresh herbs

Place the butter or margarine, garlic and herbs in a bowl and mix together well with a fork. Slice the bread but don't cut through the bottom crust. Spread some of the garlic butter between the slices. Wrap the loaf in aluminium foil and place in a pre-heated oven (200C) for 10 minutes, opening the foil for the last three minutes.
